The Timex T89042 Youth watch is reliable, durable, and readable in the dark, thanks to the integrated Indiglo night-light, but it's also flat-out fun to wear. This quartz analog watch features an easily readable, full Arabic numeral display and smaller 5-minute notations on the outside of the dial. It also has a small butterfly that rotates around the dial with the hands, and a comfortable elastic fabric strap (for better dirt and stain resistance) with pink, yellow and blue hearts and butterflies against an indigo base. This watch also offers water resistance to 30 meters (99 feet), durable bright fuschia resin case, different colored hour and minute hands, and Timex's unique Kids Loss Protection Plan. It's recommended for children ages 6 and older.

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

Timex understands that kids often lose things, even their most prized possessions, which is why this watch is covered by the Timex Kids Loss Protection Plan. If the watch is lost, Timex will replace it with the same style (or similar if your style is not available) at the price of for up to one year from the original date of purchase, with no questions asked. Details are included in the printed instructions that come with the watch.

Had to buy a second because both girls wanted it
Don't know why the description says red case it is pink.I bought two different style Timex watches for a 5 year old(this one) and 11 year old (red & black with ladybugs) for Christmas. I got a call from their Mom that they were arguing over this watch, both claiming that I had given this watch to them. The older one loved the color and pattern the younger loved the fact that she could push the stem and it lights up. Ordered this one so both girls had their own, argument settled.


Learn to tell time watch
This watch helped my 7 year old daughter learn to tell time easily. I would highly recommend it. It is well designed and easy to understand.


So far so good.
I bought this watch for my 7 yr old niece who is just learning how to read time. She loved the colors and the light up indiglo feature. I am weary to see if the strap loosens too easily but she's had it for a couple months and so far so good. I got her two 1.)to mix and match w/her outfits and 2.) in case she loses one :-)


Just perfect!
You can't beat these Timex Kids watches with stretch bands. We got this one for my daughter as her first watch after loving this same style with a different design for another daughter. (My older daughter is 9 and still loves hers). They are so easy for them to get on and off themselves and are very durable. Because of some of the other reviews, I was a bit concerned that the decorative hand would make it difficult to see the numbers, but that wasn't a problem at all. With all the different styles for girls and boys, you should be able to find one your little one will be tickled with. You'll love it! Makes a great gift -- can't go wrong!
